Milow

In 2012 the most popular European singer-songwriter is living in Los Angeles, but he is quite happy to fly over. After all, Milow has a special relationship with Werchter. He was born in the neighbouring Wespelaar and, so far, he is the only artist ever to have played at all Werchter festivals - Rock Werchter, TW Classic and Werchter Boutique. Milow is and old-skool songwriter, a craftsman making pointy songs with poetic finesse. Musically he loves breaking with tradition to go on an adventure. And commercially he does the same. Milow is his own (record) boss. What he enjoys most, is that he can give his contemporaries a taste of a music tradition (think of Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young...) that is gradually becoming an anachronism. ‘Ayo Technology’ (2008) made him a major player. And since the single ‘You And Me (In My Pocket)’ (2011) and the album ‘North And South’ (2011) it is clear that that is not a coincidence. Next stop: America.
