Incubus

SATURDAY - THE BARN

Californians specialised in all kinds of alternative but successful rock combos. Ever since the start in 1991 Incubus have explored lots of combinations. It started out of love for the Red Hot Chili Peppers with funk metal. Towards the end of the 20th century the band became the banner-bearer of nu metal together with Korn and Deftones. The band toured with Primus and System Of A Down and took part in Ozzfest and the Family Values Tour. ‘Drive’ was their first contact with the Top 10 of the American charts and pushed the sales of their album ‘Make Yourself’ (1999) way over one million. Ever since each new album they make ends up in the upper regions of their home country’s charts. In recent years they have been shifting towards alternative rock, which sometimes even resembles Radiohead, with the help of famous producers like De Scott Litt (R.E.M.) and Brendan O’Brien (Bob Dylan, Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen). Their latest album ‘If Not Now, When?’ will be just under a year old when Incubus will perform for the 3rd time at Rock Werchter.
