Blink-182

Blink-182

THURSDAY - MAIN STAGE

When we think of Blink-182 we think of Travis Barker. No other drummer in the United States is as colourful or as active. He has his own clothing line, he is a character in Guitar Hero World Tour and he had his own real-life soap on MTV. He joined Blink-182 in 1998 as a replacement for the original drummer Scott Raynor. Barker had to learn the songs in three quarters of an hour before joining the band on stage, and he did so faultlessly. Shortly afterwards, the world lay at their feet. The album ‘Enema Of The State’ (1998) just missed the top 10 in our country and ‘All The Small Things’ (2000) became a sing-along classic. Their humorous videos also helped; the gentlemen would often be naked or imitate Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears. In 2005, singer/guitarist Tom DeLonge quit and the band fell apart. Now four years later , everyone is friends again and the fun is once more never-ending.
