Black Box Revelation

Jan Paternoster and Dries Van Dijck have a combined age of a little over 40. And yet these two have already experienced more than many bands would in their entire existence. In Belgium their career has been more than a blitz. Runner-up in Humo’s 2006 Rock Rally, three years in a row at Pukkelpop, twice at Werchter, 102 weeks in the charts with their debut ‘Set Your Head On Fire’ (2007), their own photo book, two MIAs for best live act… Also impressive: their sophomore album ‘Silver Threats’ (2010) dethroned British singing wonder Susan Boyle from the Ultratop’s top spot. Not bad for a trashy rock album. Yet again the horizon of the duo from Dilbeek broadened: the world abroad. They managed to impress by touring with bands in the likes of dEUS, Eagles Of Death Metal and Jane’s Addiction. But on their own they are also doing well. There is club in Hamburg that is always filled to the rim when they drop by. They can also add a raving review in the New York Times to their belt. They are making their third album ‘My Perception’ (2011) in Los Angeles which will be released on an American label. Things are going fast.
